Yango Drive 迪拜:如何运作与直接租车或共享汽车的比较

2026年10月4日8 分钟阅读来自 Rento Line

Yango Drive 是一个租车市场,而不是按分钟计费的共享汽车。了解它在迪拜的运作方式、费用及支付时间,以及何时选择直接租车或使用 Udrive 更合适。

Yango Drive is not per-minute car sharing. It is an online marketplace where you book a car from one of its partner rental companies in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah, pay a small advance online, and sign the rental contract with that partner when you collect the car. So the real choice in Dubai is between three routes: book through a marketplace such as Yango Drive, contact a licensed rental company directly, or use a pay-per-minute car-sharing app for short trips.

This guide explains how Yango Drive works in Dubai, using only what Yango publishes on its own pages, and compares it fairly with renting direct and with car sharing, so you can pick the option that fits your trip. All facts and prices were checked on 4 October 2026.

Quick facts: Yango Drive in Dubai

  • What it is: a booking marketplace. Yango says the rental itself "is provided by partners", and its Dubai page mentions offers from 150+ rental companies.
  • Where: Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah only.
  • Rental length: from a day upwards. The Dubai page has "Daily rentals" and "Monthly rentals" tabs, and Yango's About page mentions renting for a day, a week, a couple of months or a year.
  • Payment: a small prepayment online, the main rental fee at pickup, and a refundable deposit when the partner asks for one.
  • No-deposit offers: the Dubai page says up to 25% of offers have no deposit; the FAQ says this option carries a non-refundable fee paid at booking.
  • Delivery: typically AED 50 to 200 within Dubai, depending on the car.
  • Cancellation: the Dubai page advertises "free cancellation up to 48 hours". Yango's terms add that the notice period, and the part of the prepayment you lose if you cancel later, are shown when you book, so check both.

How Yango Drive works in Dubai

Yango Drive lists cars from partner companies on its website and in the Yango app, under "Rent a car". The booking flow on its Dubai page has four steps:

  1. Pick an offer from a partner company and choose your dates.
  2. Fill in the booking form and make the advance payment.
  3. Upload your documents and wait for the partner to confirm. Yango sends the confirmation by WhatsApp.
  4. On the day, sign the contract and receive the car from the partner, at a pickup point or by delivery.

Two details matter in practice. First, you must bring original documents: Yango's FAQ says photos or copies are not accepted. Second, bookings are for individuals only, made with your own documents and your own bank card, so for now a company cannot book cars for its staff this way.

Who can rent

Residents need a UAE driving licence and Emirates ID. Tourists need a passport, visit visa, home-country licence and, depending on the country, an International Driving Permit. Yango's FAQ puts the minimum age at 18 to 21 depending on the car, and says most partners ask for 1 to 5 years of driving experience. Our guide to documents and licence rules for renting in the UAE covers the IDP question in more detail.

What you pay, and when

According to the Yango Drive FAQ, payment comes in up to four parts: a small prepayment by card when you book, the main rental fee at pickup (payment methods vary by partner, and some take only credit cards), a refundable deposit when the partner requires one, and any extras after the trip, such as Salik tolls or speeding fines, which you settle with the partner when you return the car. The full price with your chosen options appears at step 2 of the booking, and insurance terms and the fuel policy vary by car, so read both before you pay. Yango's terms of use say it does not charge you for the service itself; the online prepayment is part of the rental fee, collected on the partner's behalf.

Yango Drive vs booking a rental company directly

Because Yango Drive is a booking layer on top of rental companies, the honest comparison is not "Yango vs renting a car". It is booking through a marketplace versus talking to the company yourself. Rento Line works the second way: you browse cars listed by Dubai rental companies, then contact the company by WhatsApp or phone. There is no booking fee and no commission; the company sets the price and you pay it directly.

Where Yango Drive is stronger: a much bigger pool of partners, a fully online booking flow and round-the-clock support during the rental. Where going direct helps: you can ask the company about the kilometre allowance, deposit, insurance excess and delivery before you pay anything, and the person you agree terms with is the one who hands you the keys.

What renting direct costs on Rento Line today

Live Dubai listings on 4 October 2026 (companies set and change their own prices):

  • Daily: from AED 90. 30 of the 225 cars cost AED 200 a day or less; the median is AED 700, because many listings are premium and luxury cars.
  • Weekly: 97 cars show a weekly price, from AED 567.
  • Monthly: 97 cars show a monthly price, from AED 2,160. See monthly car rental in Dubai for the full list.
  • Deposit: 92 listings are marked "No Security Deposit", 4 show a deposit of AED 2,000 to 5,000, and the rest do not state one, so ask.
  • Salik: none of the 225 listings says tolls are included, so expect Salik to be billed after the rental.

When car sharing beats both

If you only need a car for an hour or two, a per-minute app is often simpler than any rental. Udrive is the clearest example with published rules. Its driving guide and FAQ say:

  • You find a car parked on the street with the app, unlock it, and end the trip in an approved parking area. Rentals started in Dubai must end inside the Dubai operating area.
  • Fuel is included on all plans except monthly; in Dubai you refuel free at ENOC or EPPCO stations.
  • Parking is included in the Dubai RTA zones it lists: regular zones A, B, C, D, F, G, H, K, M, N and W and their premium versions. Other paid parking is at your own cost.
  • Drivers must be 21 or older and have held a licence for at least 6 months. There are no deposits or registration fees.
  • Extra costs can still apply: fines, Salik tolls, parking violations and excess kilometres. Basic insurance carries an excess, with CDW or full damage cover as upgrades.

ekar works on a similar model: its Google Play listing (last updated June 2025) describes pay-per-minute car sharing in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, with daily, weekly and monthly options and no deposit. Both apps charge by time, so check the rate in the app before you set off.

Which option fits your trip?

  • A short one-way hop inside the city (an errand, a meeting, a mall run): car sharing. You walk to a car parked nearby instead of arranging delivery, fuel is included on Udrive, and you leave the car in an approved bay. For very short rides, compare the cost with a taxi too; see our car rental vs taxi vs Uber comparison.
  • Two to seven days with family or luggage: a daily or weekly rental. Compare the total (rent, delivery, deposit, kilometres) rather than the headline day rate, whether you book through Yango Drive or direct.
  • A month or longer: a monthly rental. Monthly prices on Rento Line start at AED 2,160 today, and you stop paying by the minute for every journey. Udrive's monthly plans exclude fuel, so compare like with like.
  • Trips to other emirates: a rental is usually easier. Udrive allows driving between emirates, but the trip must end in the same emirate where it started, and charges keep running until the trip is ended there. With a rental, ask about the daily kilometre allowance first.
  • No deposit: possible on all three routes, with different trade-offs. On Yango Drive it costs a non-refundable fee; on Rento Line some companies list cars with no deposit at all. Our no-deposit rental guide explains what to check.

Five questions to ask before you pay anything

  1. What is the total price, including VAT and delivery?
  2. Is there a deposit, how is it held (card block or cash), and when is it returned?
  3. How many kilometres are included per day, and what does each extra kilometre cost?
  4. What insurance is included, and what is the excess if the car is damaged?
  5. How are Salik tolls and fines billed, and is there an admin fee on top?

At handover, walk around the car and photograph every scratch, the fuel level and the odometer. Udrive's own guide has a section on reporting damage before you start a trip for the same reason: anything not recorded at the start can be charged to you at the end.

Bottom line

Yango Drive is a convenient way to book a rental from many partner companies online. Car sharing such as Udrive or ekar suits short trips that start and end in the same emirate. For multi-day or monthly use, talking to the rental company directly lets you settle the deposit, kilometres and delivery before any money changes hands.
